Talking the Talk Because She’s Walked The Walk! Years ago, Susan Bartelstone had a bad break-up with a guy, complete with physical and emotional bruises, and determined to learn how to protect herself. Today, she’s a certified Crime Prevention Specialist with 17 years of defensive training. Along the way, she deterred five extremely dangerous criminal encounters, fought her way out of a surprise attack, authored Think Fast and Prevent a Violent Crime and taught safety skills to thousands of women and men.

Ask your local library, supermarket, chain restaurants, department stores, houses of worship, etc. if you can regularly supply them with material from national and local domestic violence programs (they’ll give you all you want) to display by cash registers and leave around for women to quietly put into their pocketbook. Great group project!
